Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/Phlebotomist

Excellent opportunity for a dynamic, people oriented, well-organized individual to join a very well established and respected, private surgical practice featuring a board certified general & breast surgeon in our beautiful Bend, OR office. We are looking for a new member to join our team who has the ability to multi-task, attention to detail, has a calming energy and a compassionate heart.

Job Summary: A key position as the certified medical assistant. The duties range from greeting patients, taking and recording vital signs, medications, medical history, triaging patient call to insurance authorization for radiology and surgical procedures, sending and receiving patient referrals and sorting medical records. There will be hands-on component with assisting in minor office based procedures, hormone pellet placement, core needle breast biopsies, and potentially hair restoration procedures. Your primary responsibility is to engage with the patient and set the stage for an excellent experience with our clinic.

Education: Higher education preferred

Experience: Sterile processing/procedures

Customer service a must

eClinicalWorks (EMR) knowledge preferred

Other Requirements:

A compassionate, well-organized team player with medical assistant certification with an attention to detail and diligent follow-up are must haves. The ability to communicate effectively with all members of the team and provide top quality compassionate care, making sure all patients have an exceptional experience.

Job Type: Full-time (M-F)

Hours: 8:30-4:30 (M-F), some flexibility

Benefits: PTO accrual (full-time)

401k after one year (full-time)

Salary: $19-23/hr DOE

Supervisor: Direct with physician

COVID-19 considerations:
We are a medical facility and all staff members, physicians are required to be fully vaccinated. Patients are required to have masks on while in the facility. We regularly sterilize/clean commonly touched areas.

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
  • CPR Certification (Preferred)
