Title: Class A Driver-Transport

General Position Summary

This non-exempt driver position is based out of Portland, OR and part of the Operations Transport team reporting to the Operations Manager. Primary duties include operation of a Class A Commercial Vehicle in the capacity of transporting and delivering petroleum products to Bretthauer and customer sites. Must have a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with HazMat/Tanker/Doubles Endorsements and no Manual Restriction. This position requires strong technical and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to maintain a balance between initiative and team involvement. This position must effectively communicate a positive image of Bretthauer Oil Company to customers, employees and management. Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities (The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as needed)

Transport Driver must:

• Maintain clean and valid CDL
• Maintain Medical Certification as per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)Maintain TWIC Card
• Operate all equipment in a safe and professional manner
• Operate Transport vehicle and perform loading, delivery and unloading of product
• Provide excellent customer service to customers per policy
• Daily submittal of neat and accurate driver paperwork (driver sheets) to dispatch office
• Detail Oriented in all capacities of position.
• Follow Operating procedure step by step without deviation
• [DF4] Remain substance and impairment free

Technical Functions and Communication

• Load product at various supply racks[DF5]
• Follow site rules and instructions as laid out by our customers and suppliers
• Keep track of pricing and load product at lowest available rack[DF6] [BP7] [BP8] based on daily sheet.
• Communicate with Dispatch regarding supply/delivery problems
• Utilize Slack (instant messaging app) for information regarding Loads, Equipment, and information share.
• Understands or is willing to learn the utilization of company-mandated apps (i.e. Salesforce, SmarTank, Slack)
• Maintain proper reports on Motive ELD [DF12]

Education & Experience

• Must have prior commercial vehicle driving experience
