Job Description :

Premium Health Care Pharmacy is looking for a Compound Pharmacist to oversee daily operations of sterile and non-sterile compounding. This position is responsible for compounding and dispensing medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines. The Pharmacist will track order status and outstanding issues as well as consult with team members for coordination of new patients and maintaining compounding schedule. This individual may take calls from customers regarding lost orders or dispensing errors, maintain daily production, quality and service levels, vary work priorities and activities to accommodate business needs. The Pharmacist may also train less experienced pharmacists.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
  • Oversee daily technician aseptic compounding activities and training.
  • Coordinate daily compounding schedules and final product QA and release.
  • Maintain compounding facility in sanitary condition per USP 797.
  • Environmental monitoring of ISO environment.
  • Maintain adequate compounding inventory levels, waste and ordering.
  • Oversee accurate completion of all compounding documentation and medication labeling.
  • Oversee and assist with maintaining productivity and quality metrics.
  • Oversee proper medication storage, packing and delivery.
  • Back up other pharmacists as needed, perform additional duties as assigned by management, or train less experienced pharmacists.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of an ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or a Pharm.D. degree along with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Current resident pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret prescriptions.
  • Strong focus on customer service, quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage timelines and meet tight client deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule for peak volume times.
  • Prior sterile and non-sterile compounding experience with knowledge of USP 795, 797, 800, preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour
