Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a well-known intown construction company. They are looking to add a Construction Accountant to their team and will move quickly for the right candidate.

About the Company and Construction Accountant Opportunity:

• Reporting directly to the controller, the Construction Accountant plays a pivot role on the accounting team and will help oversee and guide junior level staff.

Overview of the Construction Accountant role:

• Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist with closing and financial statement preparation
• Provide financial data explanations and variance analysis as needed
• Track job costs for multiple concurrent construction projects
• Provide back up support for A/P, A/R, Billing, Payroll, and Collections
• Prepare quarterly sales tax returns
• Maintain business license and vehicle and equipment registrations
• Assist with audit requests
• Other ad hoc duties and tasks as assigned

Preferred Qualifications of the Construction Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years related experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Able to prioritize and multitask

• Excellent attention to detail
