Lead the accounting team of a growing wholesale distributor headquartered in Lanesville, IN area as their Corporate Controller. This mid-sized family-owned company is looking for a talented accounting leader to work strategically and report to the CEO. Current Controller is retiring and will be on hand to train new Controller. Controller will plan and direct the accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting and forecasting. The successful candidate will have excellent organization, management and communication skills. This role includes full employee benefits and a market competitive salary ($110k - $125k) and two days remote work after initial training period. Job Requirements:

Highlighted Duties:

• Manage accounting/finance and an accounting team of six

• Assist with accounting efficiencies and controls review and implementation

• Responsible for financial analysis, statements, reporting and forecasting

• Handle tax compliance and reporting

• GAAP compliance (federal, state, industry requirements and required reporting)

• Responsible for managing the company’s annual budget

• Work with CEO on operational decision making such as capital investments

• Coordinate with CPA firm on behalf of company for audits, etc.

• Provide outstanding customer service and communication with management team and employees

Highlighted Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar required

• Recent hands-on accounting leadership and management responsibilities

• 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience at a mid-sized company in multiple states

• Experience streamlining policies and procedures-- passion for continuous improvement

• Solutions driven problem solver with an exceptional customer service mindset

• Background in financial reporting and understanding of GAAP

• Excellence verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills needed to effectively convey information to others

• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel)

• ERP experience a plus
