W.A. Jones is a market leader in the work truck equipment industry providing customers with the highest quality products and service. We are seeking a detailed, motivated, results driven, team player with a strong accounting background and experience in working in a manufacturing environment. This position would provide general accounting compliance and monthly financial reporting packages

This position requires a leader that can listen, guide and support an accounting staff, along with an individual that meets our company’s five core values: Moral Character, Customer Focus, Humble, Reliable, and Motivated.

A typical day in this role may include the following:

• Monthly closing processes including preparation of financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, and statements that reflect the underlying performance of the business
• Financial analysis and planning including budgets
• Cost accounting, bank reconciliation and cash management
• Financial reporting integrity
• Owning and applying accounting policies and procedures
• Supporting and leading accounting audits
• Knowledge of and compliance to GAAP
• Government tax compliance and programs
• Mentoring, leading, and coaching accounting staff
• Maintaining and driving improvements to company metrics and cost savings opportunities
• Corporate Insurance liaison and support
• Company licenses and filing
• Financial alignment to the corporate structure

• Minimally hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting , economics, business administration, or finance
• Have a strong financial aptitude and mathematical skills
• Have a deep understanding of accounting functions and banking
• You pay close attention to details and thrive off balancing numbers
• Have 10+ years’ experience in accounting roles with progressing experience
• Have knowledge of federal regulation on taxes and reporting
• Are an effective communicator and can build trust with your team and the executive leadership team
• Portray excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong listening and presentation abilities
• Are motivated to prioritize responsibilities and manage time effectively
• You thrive in a team-oriented environment

This position will be working on the executive team and may there may be additional responsibilities as needed.
