Essential Functions:

• Provides subject matter expertise on healthcare regulatory matters (HIPAA, Fraud & Abuse, AKS)
• Works closely with executive leadership and outside counsel on M&A transactional matters from LOI to due diligence and through close
• Participates as a strategic partner on senior leadership team, providing corporate, business development, and healthcare counsel
• Advises on strategic partnerships with state and federal healthcare programs, health systems, and vendors
• Manages outside counsel as needed
• Provides legal guidance to protect the organization's intellectual property.
• Advises organization’s corporate contracts through drafting and negotiating agreements.
• Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance matters within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated, reported, and resolved.
• Supports the Chief Administrative Officer to interpret and communicate legislation, laws, rulings, and regulations to appropriate organization stakeholders

• License to practice law in Minnesota

Education and/or Experience

• Doctor of Law degree (J.D.)
• 4-6 years related experience and/or training
