Job Description :

Cloverdale is looking for an experienced and driven Director of Information Technology (IT) to join our corporate team. The Director of IT will be responsible for leading a team to improve operational performance, support and enhance capability, and deliver and maintain technology systems in our manufacturing facility. The Director of Information Technology is a hands-on leader/driver, responsible for the strategy, planning and successful execution of all information technology goals, capabilities and initiatives that support Cloverdale’s business goals and objectives. This leader collaborates with clients and colleagues at all levels of the organization to understand business needs and align technology services and solutions to those needs. The Director will manage a team of IT professionals and numerous outside providers and be responsible for the architecture, availability, scalability, resiliency, security, efficiency and continuity of all technology environments, services and support. You will also lead major technology-based initiatives and Cloverdale’s effort to incorporate more technology-enabled solutions.

Job Duties:
1. Lead, manage and direct all technology resources, initiatives and investments towards Cloverdale’s goals and objectives.
2. Produce an annual IT plan and budget that is integrated into Cloverdale’s business planning and budgeting processes.
3. Ensure that all initiatives in the IT portfolio have clear business goals and success metrics.
4. Monitor and report on the performance of the IT projects including actual vs. expected results, budgets and project duration.
5. Oversight of IT security and compliance policy, procedures, and execution of initiatives that allow for the effective and efficient operation of Cloverdale’s business and continued positive client relationships.
6. Direct the technology strategy and architecture in partnership with outside partners.
7. Evaluate and lead the business through the re-architecting of core technology-enabled processes and systems to enable greater effectiveness and efficiency in collaboration with employees at every level of the organization.
8. Change initiatives may include definition or refinement of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), RedZone, Human Resource Management System (HRMS), Knowledge Management, Business Information Systems, core research processes enabled by technology.
9. Maximize ROI of technology spending, investments, programs and change initiatives via in-source, outsource and off shoring strategies and/or further vendor negotiations/consolidation.
10. Provide build vs. buy vs. partner analyses and recommendations for new internal and client facing technologies, including development of Request for Proposal documentation and ROI analysis, review of proposals, and active management of the selection and implementation process, where it applies.
11. Engage with functional areas of the business on process improvement and efficiency gains that are enabled and enhanced by technology.
12. Collaborate with product development on the development, release, and management of client facing, market viable, technology enabled solutions.
13. Lead multiple client facing and internal business technology initiatives and manage resources, scope and deliverables on time and on budget.
14. Negotiate and manage relationships and contracts with outside technology providers and consultants.
15. Provide leadership to enhance organizational capability through training, mentorship and operational support, and drive a cross functional high-performance work team environment, including plant and manufacturing technical resources, maintenance and IT.
16. Drive development and adoption of IT technologies across the manufacturing enterprise that improve sustainability and operational capability.
17. Lead implementation support for company process control applications, process data collection systems, automated warehousing systems, ERP. CRM, HRMS, RedZone, EMS and all Environmental/ Health/Safety systems.
18. Work closely with Operations management to establish priorities, resolve technical problems, and maintain standardized documentation.
19. Develop detailed project plans and execute projects on time, in scope and budget that support company goals and improve overall operational capability.
20. Lead and facilitate a collaborative environment to include internal resources and external vendors / consultants to deliver operational and project support to our manufacturing enterprise.
21. Develop, plan and implement information and operations technology systems, including IT and network infrastructure, controls and automation systems, and integration of existing and new technologies.
22. Provide leadership in knowledge transfer and implementation of approved standards and practices for IT systems, including network implementation, PLC’s and field devices, and IT systems.
23. Manage internal and external resources to deliver the highest quality, first class service to operations and other customers.
24. Provide leadership in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to effectively resolve issues and deliver sustainable solutions while enhancing resource capability.
25. Provide project management leadership including requirements gathering, project development, vendor management, proposal development and review, effective planning and execution, on time, in scope and budget.
26. Facilitate and support the numerous manufacturing process and control systems within Operations, collaborating with Engineering, IT, Operations and Corporate management and vendor resources.
27. Provide production support and maintenance for enterprise systems including: Environmental Health & Safety, OEE and Plant Key Performance Metrics, Process Controls and Automation, reporting and analytics systems for Operations, and others as directed.
28. Provide leadership and management of staff in all the above areas to include all supervision, performance management, career development, and all other personnel related functions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Track record of strong people/team development.
2. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with all levels of the organization.
3. Strong written and verbal communication, including documentation standards.
4. Ability to consistently meet deadlines and see projects through completion.
5. Ability to travel up to 20%.
6. Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical and controls systems and programming.
7. Experience in PLC and HMI programming
8. Experience with controls power distribution layouts, panel layouts, hardware specification.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related field from an accredited institution is required. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 10 years’ experience directing IT strategy and oversight of multiple technology functions, departments, and initiatives.
3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a professional service, project oriented, and/or consulting environment. Familiarity with market research is preferred.
4. Minimum of 8 years of experience managing and supporting systems integration, project and varied plant experience.
5. Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and supporting manufacturing process controls networks, infrastructure, and security systems.
6. Minimum of 3 years of experience within industry as a practitioner and manager (Food Process Manufacturing).
7. Minimum of 3 years of experience managing manufacturing process control applications, supporting software and databases, support, and ongoing process improvement efforts.
8. Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and managing project plans, departmental and project budgets, and requests for capital.
9. Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting a fast-paced, rapidly changing and dynamic corporate environment.
10. PMP certification desired; Six-Sigma credentials a plus.
11. Experience with and understanding of strategic and business planning methods, tools and processes.
12. Successful track record leading and driving organizational change including business processes that are dependent on enabling tools and technologies.
13. Proven abilities leading, managing and developing IT professionals, both internally and externally.
14. Experience architecting and deploying a technology ecosystem utilizing on premise, cloud-based, hosted and SaaS environments.
15. Demonstrated project management skills and success leading and driving major initiatives to a successful outcome.
16. Highly effective client engagement skills and ability to understand and efficiently address needs.
17. Demonstrated business savvy to work effectively with other leaders to achieve key business and technology goals.
18. Highly effective communications, collaboration and influencing skills.
19. Expertise managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
20. Direct experience managing information security requirements. Exposure to ISO 27001 compliance a plus.
21. Outstanding communication, presentation and diplomacy skills.
22. Organizational skills with unfailing attention to detail.
23. Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
24. Experience working with customer relationship management software required.
25. Proven ability to establish strong credibility and build relationships cross-functionally.
26. Effective multi-tasker adept at prioritizing and exceptionally detailed oriented.
27. Organizational astuteness and proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
28. Ability to work under critical deadlines and heavy workloads with minimal supervision.
29. Strong results-orientation and commitment to quality, performance and deliverables.
30. Good analytical and problem solving skills
31. Advanced practitioner of Microsoft Office; particularly Excel and Power Point.
32. Aptitude to quickly learn internal database and software programs is essential.
33. Ability to work well and communicate verbally with people at all levels, and across departments.
34. Valid Driver’s license required.
