Within Q-Tran Inc., the Director, Product Development will be a critical driver of new product development. The responsibilities will include execution of near-term opportunities that drive significant in year revenue and strategic differentiation, as well as scoping, identification, and development of longer-term product concepts and solutions

Role

• Ownership for large portion of Q-Tran product development roadmap
• Identify, develop, and launch new lighting and power supply products
• Ensure product designs achieves all required deliverables and are in line with high levels of quality
• Oversee development process from concept to launch
• Directly lead a mutli-disciplinary team – including electrical engineers, designers and technicians
• Promote good design and engineering practices
• Mentor younger designers and engineers to help them further develop their technical skills
• Drive thought leadership and the learning agenda across key opportunity spaces

All About You

• BS is required, MS is a plus – Engineering or Design Disciple
• 5+ years in product development
• 3+ Years of leading development projects through full design cycles
• 1+ year experience managing direct reports
• Project management experience – coordinating with multiple departments, managing risk, providing schedule and updates, executing to deadlines
• Detail oriented, organized, and possess excellent follow-up skills.
• Ability to multi-task and function under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Electronics manufacturing experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
