Director – Full Stack Engineering

Fidelity Personal Investing – Client Solutions Technology Chapter Area is looking for a passionate Director - Full Stack Engineer to help lead and design world-class products for the technology teams in our One Stop Life Shop domain. Our engineering team is innovative, diverse, passionate and dedicated. We work in a very dynamic agile environment.

Underpinning our mission is the Goal Booster savings & investing platform, a suite of cloud-based capabilities that power our customers’ journeys as well as supporting reporting, engagement & analytics needs.

Goal Booster is seeking an energetic technology leader to help push the platform to even greater heights. The role requires a strong technical background, you will be working on architecture, tech roadmap, and partnering with our business to define the product vision.

You will be expected to quickly gain understanding of all the components of our web applications and will work with the team to deliver outstanding solutions.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's / Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Architected, designed and built enterprise scale financial systems
  • Proven technical leadership experience
  • Extensive experience with client-side tech stack: Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS
  • Proven experience with middleware Java/Spring stack, web services and & containers
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure)
  • Good to have understanding of Mono Repo and Nx workspace.
  • Prior exposure to PI platform technologies/frameworks (e.g. Felix AWS, eChip, HXP) & data stores (CWE, Snowflake) is a huge plus
  • Exposure to reporting, analytics & A/B testing tools (Alation, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics & Target)

Responsibilities

  • Work with our tech lead to guide multiple development work streams and ensure architecture is scalable and extensible.
  • Align with the leadership’s vision for the products and ensure that day-to-day tactical requests don’t compromise that vision.
  • Perform code reviews, oversee the TLM Roadmap and propose technical enhancements.
  • Mentor other software engineers to foster an engaged and highly skilled team.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the identification, isolation, resolution, and communication of complex problems within the production and nonproduction environment.
  • Champion good unit test practices like test driven development and follow good code coverage practices.
  • Proactively lead process and technology improvement initiatives.
