Our client is a leader in designing and building advanced mechanical simulation systems. Companies use these machines to prevent the loss of life. These systems are customized to meet each customer’s unique needs. Projects often involve the construction of a new lab or facility. This requires close collaboration with the customer to ensure our design provides industry-leading testing performance. The electrical engineer will be the primary designer of the control systems. This person will design new high and low voltage electrical systems. This will require someone that can excel in an engineered-to-order environment.

A good fit for the job typically possesses the following traits aptitudes, and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in electrical engineering
• This position requires a strong understanding in circuits, as the job will require working with PCBs and control circuits
• Multiple years of experience designing industrial automation and power distribution; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Source and size components for electrical systems incorporating PLCs, VFDs, motors, servomotors, transducers, valve drivers, fieldbus, etc.
• Engineer and lay out control panels ranging from low-voltage instrumentation to high amperage 3-phase motor control.
• Develop new products with R&D Engineering. Build and test proof of concept.
• Develop, release, and maintain electrical drawings. Drafter supervision. EPlan experience preferred.
• Industrial Automation programming and communication. Archive and maintain program code,
• Troubleshoot complex electrical assemblies.
• Occasional travel
