737 Seattle Delivery Center Engineering is seeking experienced Configuration Management & Product Integration Engineer to join our team and make an immediate impact on urgent and chronic field operation, flight performance and build plan improvement issues within Seattle Delivery Center (SDC). Positions will be based in Seattle, WA.
You will have abundant opportunities to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and deliver innovative solutions to complex technical problems to deliver the most efficient airplanes to our customers.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Mid-Level Engineers.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position is an onsite position. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite in Seattle, WA
Position Responsibilities:
Be an integrator supporting the 737 MAX flight performance and delivery goal of the program
Be a strategic partner with the first line manager, a primary point of contact to support senior leadership, and work under consultative direction
Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate, coordinate, implement and ensure engineering design and retrofit changes meet operational and functional requirements in support of customer expectations and overall program objectives
Lead cross-functional technical integration in support of resolving complex issues to help deliver airplanes, return airplanes into service, resolve supply chain issues, mitigate risks, actualize opportunities, etc.
Lead cross-functional integration and technical project management in support of delivery and production stream sustainability
Lead detailed investigations to ensure system integration, compliance with requirements and to preclude safety issues
Lead and integrate the enhancement of business and enterprise tools and/or processes to enable efficient performance of engineering tasks
Communicate routinely with Internal and External Customers (peers, stakeholders, senior and executive leadership)
Mentor less experienced engineers for knowledge transfer and cross training, partner with leadership in identifying skill gap of the team and provide training to bridge the skill gap
Communicate frequently with Program & SDC Leadership
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
5+ years’ experience performing complex engineering or integration work.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be a self-starter, adept at leading complex projects and influencing people across multiple organizations.
Ability to clearly communicate complex scenarios with diverse internal and external -personnel (peers, executive leadership, suppliers and airline customers).
Strong project and risk management skills/knowledge.
Highly competent in systems thinking and analytical skills.
Must be able to support domestic or international travel to support our customers as required, although this is not typical
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with Boeing production systems is preferred
Prior experience in an engineering integration role. Passion to integrate across skills, functions, organization to accomplish project goal is preferred
Commercial aircraft design and/or analysis experience within product development, Flight Sciences, Airframe, Interiors, Propulsion, or Systems. Experience with certification, working with FAA regulations, and Regulatory Administration
Experience with commercial or military aircraft maintenance is preferred
Project Management exposure / experience (e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI/PMI 99-001-2008) is preferred
Quick Learner: ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts across multiple disciplines
Problem Solver: ability to analyze and organize complex technical problems
Communicator: ability to translate complex issues into cohesive, actionable components, with ability for individual contributor and executive communication
Experience with leading major design changes through multiple phases of product and certification lifecycle
Ability to work out of comfort zone, where process definition does not exist or is unclear
Ability to take ownership/initiative, pull teams together, establish battle rhythm, and remove roadblocks
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Mid-level (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay Range Level 2: $79,050-$106,950
Pay Range Level 3: $95,050-$129,950
