Nelson & Kennard, an established and growing, Sacramento area law firm seeks to hire a Data and Programming Analyst with 6-18 months of experience in the IT field developing and documenting business process oriented Python scripts. We are looking for someone who is responsible, intuitive, takes pride in their work and has a professional demeanor. Must be able to multi-task, think critically and have exceptional analytical skills.

The main function of this position will be to manage the automation scripts currently in place to ensure they are functioning properly and, when needed, troubleshooting any issues encountered for timely resolutions, as well as work toward the creation of new scripted processes within the environment to meet the needs of a diverse range of departments. The Data and Programming Analyst role also focuses on identifying and developing solutions to turn data into actionable business solutions and recommendations. The ideal candidate will use independent judgement to gather and evaluate information in order to make recommendations for improvements to processes and procedures. The suitable candidate will be solutions oriented using a "roll up your sleeves and dig in" approach.

The qualified candidate will have current skills or knowledge in the following areas:

· Python 3 (Primarily Pandas, NumPy, and Pathlib)

· SQL

· Command Line

· Excel

Knowledge of or experience in the following areas would be a plus but not required:

· Program and network troubleshooting

· Scripting and automating procedures utilizing Command Prompt and Python

· Ticketing System

· Windows 10

Additional Requirements:

· Effective verbal and written communication skills

· Strong problem solving skills

· Excellent follow-up and adherence to documentation protocols

· Must be self-driven and able to work in a fast pace, high volume, goal-oriented environment

· Must have good time management skills

· Customer service experience is a plus but is not required
