Job Purpose

The FINANCE MANAGER is responsible for developing internal control guidelines, policies and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration and other activities.

Duties

EXPECTATIONS:

• Coordinating and directing budgeting, procurement, investment activities and financial planning.
• Establishing and maintaining financial controls with the accounting department.
• Responsible for the company general ledger.
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
• Creating budgets and forecasts.
• Guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization.
• Work closely and collaboratively with Management.
• Serving as sounding board, strategist and risk mitigator.

DELIVERABLES

• Preparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis.
• Preparing all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns and governmental agency reports.
• Providing support to management, particularly in commercial and financial matters.
• Managing cash flow.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and run the shared service finance.
• Advise and lead staff on financial accounting questions.
• Recruits and hires accounting staff and conducts performance reviews.
• Coordinates training program for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
• Audits accounts to ensure compliance with company policies as well as state and federal regulations.
• Presents recommendations to Executive team for short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
• Oversee and negotiate insurance policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in a financial role
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Negotiation skills
• Interpersonal skills
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations and industry legislation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
