Job Summary:

Rommel Harley-Davidson is currently looking for a Finance Manager. With this position you have the chance to work with one of the most iconic brands in the country and have access to top of the line training. The role of the Finance Manager is responsible for the finance and insurance operations of the Motorcycle Sales Department in our Smyrna, DE location. This position will be responsible for direct finance, insurance, extended service programs and customer deliveries.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Proposing and closing finance and insurance (F&I) deals for customers of our motorcycle dealership, while providing an excellent purchase experience.
  • Accurate processing of all related F&I documents, submitting them for approval to financing & insurance sources while adhering to all regulations when processing deals.
  • Providing guidance related to warranty and service contract options to customers, recommending products that meet, and forecast their needs.
  • Prompt and thorough follow-up through all phases of pending purchases through final delivery. Creates and maintains good relations with all.
  • Coordination of sales transactions with Motorcycle Sales personnel. Routine communication of finance forecasting and F&I trends with General Sales Manager and General Manager.
  • Providing recommendations of new lending and insurance providers to General Sales Manager & General Manager, with a goal of securing competitive rates.
  • Establishing/maintaining an impeccable reputation and good working relationships with finance and insurance companies, allowing a lucrative advantage towards superior customer service.
  • Remaining up to date with product knowledge and developmental training as assigned by management.
  • Maintaining above average customer survey scores.

Desired Skills:

  • Motorcycle, automobile or similar financing & insurance experience preferred.
  • Sales management experience is a plus. Excellent communication and “closing” skills.
  • Sense of urgency to deliver with a high degree of accountability. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to effectively problem solve.
  • Professional & personable demeanor.
  • Computer literacy with the ability to navigate new software as required.
  • Candidates with a valid state of (MD) insurance license encouraged to apply.

Work Environment:

  • The noise level is the work environment is occasionally loud.
  • Occasionally requires the ability to balance and push a 600-800lb. motorcycle.
  • Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.
  • This is largely a sedentary role, requiring use of typical office equipment such as a computer, laptop and cell phone.
