Design Associate

Andover Brands is recruiting for a Home Textiles and Accessories Design Associate to fill a full-time, in-office position.

Andover Brands is an industry leader with over 25 years of experience designing, sourcing, and producing kitchen textiles, table linens, tableware, gifts, and decorative accessories for wholesale distribution to large and small retailers throughout the country.

We are currently seeking an in-house designer; this is not a remote position.

As a member of the team, you will design exciting, creative seasonal assortments of prints, plaids, embroideries, stripes & jacquard patterns based on the trends, styles, motifs, and colors. We need someone with a creative and practical mind to develop designs and create sales marketing materials to enhance the brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop product patterns and artwork from concepts and collateral materials
  • Develop product concepts into sales presentations
  • Produce production quality product artwork/mechanicals/patterns/die-lines /color palettes for sampling and bulk production
  • Coordinate communication between sales, pre-production, and overseas vendors throughout the product creation process, from initial design and sampling through to final product specifications
  • Design, sample and produce catalog’s, retail packaging, POP and PDQ materials
  • Adhere to purchasing policies, procedures, and standards
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of products testing, licenses, certifications etc.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Graphic Design and 2+ years in a related field
  • Adobe suite program knowledge (Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop…etc.)
  • Basic Microsoft suite program knowledge (Excel, Outlook, Word…etc.)
  • Ability to learn new software systems
  • Ability to operate independently given direction, and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised
  • Strong time management and organizational skills is a must
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively and clearly articulate goals and objectives
  • Ability to multitask and work in high pace environment
  • Understanding of textiles/weaving would be desirable but not required

Details:

Full time position - in office only Tukwila, WA
Candidate must be able to pass thorough a background check.
