General Position Summary:

The Graphic Designer position supports and enhances Company business by producing the highest quality creative design material for marketing and advertising to raise and maintain the profile of Company; provide conceptual design, layout, and composition expertise for a variety of advertising mediums; and as required, participate in presentations to clients.

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

• Strategize, conceptualize, and design retail advertising programs for national clients that ultimately drive traffic and sales.
• Produce creative and innovative graphic designs for use in the presentation of Company promotions, proposals, marketing and advertising materials.
• Provide expertise and creative input from the inception stage of design work through to final production in collaboration with other departments.
• Undertake liaison with customers to ensure initial concepts and ideas are explored and developed to the fullest.
• Collaborate within a team environment on marketing/advertising strategy and design.
• Under direction of supervisor, develop and maintain brand consistency for customers.
• Participate in ongoing communication with both internal and external contacts.
• Continually develop skills, as required, and provided by Company, with design software packages to ensure that expectations and requirements of customers will be met.
• Work overtime, as requested, to meet customer and Company deadlines.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, Fine Arts or similar training required with three to five years related experience and comprehensive knowledge of graphics software, layout and design required. Successful job experience working in a team-oriented, deadline driven environment preferred. Supervisory and production management experience a strong plus. Employer will consider equivalent combination of education and experience that provides necessary qualifications to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Necessary Knowledge, Ability and Skills:

• Work well under pressure while maintaining a high level of detail.
• Juggle multiple priorities and projects with strict deadlines.
• Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills to communicate externally and internally to ensure projects meet customer needs and are completed on schedule.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud including illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop and XD.
• Working knowledge of Macintosh computer.
• Basic understanding of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word.)
• Working knowledge of print and digital design best practices in various advertising industries.
• Create email templates using Emma, Constant Contact, or other email platforms.
• Assist in design strategies for various social media clients.
• Content Creation and Creative Writing a plus.
• Video content and editing a plus.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS a plus.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit for long periods of time. This position requires an individual to type at a keyboard for many hours a day necessitating repetitive motions of the hands and wrists.

Work Environment:

Duties are mostly performed in a standard, open landscape office environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
