Essential Show Feeds is a Nebraska-based family-owned business headquartered in York, NE. We are looking for someone passionate about the livestock show world. The qualified candidate will have a crucial role in recruiting future team members and bringing oversite to existing staff needs. Essential Show Feeds is exists to reach the maximum genetic potential out of our customer's animals with the soundest nutrition and a wide variety of supplements to allow them to mold and shape their animal to its ideal form. Essential feeds was founded in 1990, our products are distributed nationwide.

This Full-time position has a few facets, HR/safety/finance responsibilities, and all of the roles are interrelated.

Job Summary

Reporting to the head of Finance and the CEO, the HR Generalist is a key member of the Business Operations team. The HR Generalist will be proactive, organized, detail oriented, work with all levels within the organization and be able to execute in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment with minimal oversight. In addition, HR Generalist will work to build and maintain strong relationships with the management team to be able to assist them with human resource needs, which will include the administration of our safety program.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of recruitment
• Assist in enhancing new hire orientation and onboarding efforts
• Lead the administration of the benefit programs in conjunction with a third-party vendor.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Assist leadership with ongoing employee review and feedback
• Assist with employee events, as needed
• Oversee employee relations
• Provide HR support to the management team
• Maintain job descriptions
• Remain current on HR Policies and trends
• Proactive support for recent status of COVID and recommendations for businesses
• Safety Training
• Follow OSHA guidelines
• Nebraska Safety Council

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Business, Human Resources, Safety
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in safety & HR
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Organized and able to manage time
