Position Highlights
Responsible for administering all aspects of the Credit Union’s HR policies and functions. Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of various human resource functions, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, compensation, benefits, employee relations, development and training, payroll, employee onboarding and for insuring company-wide compliance with EEO, ADA, FMLA, USERRA, OSHA, and COBRA as well as other governmental regulations and employment laws. Provides recommendations to Senior Leadership in establishing overall human resource objectives, policies, procedures, and pay practices.
This is full time Salaried/Exempt position located in Saco, Maine starting at $68,000 to $75,000 per year commiserate with experience. Basic schedule is Monday-Friday/ 40 hour week. Remote Hybrid opportunities after 90 days. Position start date- May 2023.
Essential Duties
· Plan, develop and implement HR policies.
· Recommend and administer the Credit Union’s compensation, payroll, benefit programs, 401(k), 457(b) and CUOLI plans.
· Effectively develop and oversee recruitment, retention and training programs.
· Administer job classifications and job descriptions.
· Provide employment onboarding and supervisory training on HR elements.
· Work with management to ensure adequate staffing. Administer the Performance Management system.
· Process all aspects of bi-weekly payroll, including required monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
· Maintain all personnel files according to PCU record retention policies.
· Coordinate a variety of employer-sponsored employee activities, enhance employee/employer relationships and maintain a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources and/or SPHR/PHR preferred.
· 5+ years of progressive experience in human resource positions. Supervisory experience is a plus. Generalist background required.
· Knowledge of HR laws and regulations; experience with compensation/payroll and a variety of employee benefit programs.
· Strong analytical, policy development and implementation skills.
· Excellent communication and project management abilities.
