Boeing Defense Space and Security is currently looking for a Hydraulic System Engineer to join their team in Huntsville, AL . This position will focus on development and production of the Space Launch System (SLS) Core Stage (CS) Thrust Vector Control (TVC) System.

Position Responsibilities:
Technical oversight of SLS TVC hardware suppliers

Travel to suppliers to engage in technical and programmatic meetings on SLS TVC hardware

Engage in technical meetings with the NASA customer

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

2 years or more of experience in software or hardware engineering, requirements, design, development, test, and working with software and hardware

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Familiar with hydraulic systems and hardware

Familiar with working for NASA on space programs

Typical Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Relocation:

Summary pay range: $76,500 - $103,500
