Maui County Federal Credit Union is offering a $1000 sign-on bonus for a full-time Information Technology Specialist. The right candidate should have a solid understanding of network operations and all related computer hardware and software. Strong problem-solving skills, customer service skills and attention to detail are also required.

The right candidate will assist us in upholding our Mission Statement: Caring for our Members' Needs by providing services that encourage financial well-being. The right candidate will also help to support our Vision Statement: To be the financial institution of choice by individuals throughout Maui County.

Position Purpose:

Responsible for performing network administrative duties including setting up new users, assisting users with network access, and resolving connection problems. Installs network cables, test connectivity and system support of routers, servers and phones. Monitor the local area network utilization and resolves connection problems associated with related equipment. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, upgrades and configuration of new software, personal computers, servers, printers and other ancillary equipment. Provide technical support and assistance to personnel, end users and credit union members. Provide technical support with making new equipment, hardware and software acquisitions. Assist in maintaining and updating the credit union Internet and Intranet web sites and pages. Assist in maintaining the credit union’s technology infrastructure and information systems.

Essential Functions & Basic Duties:

1. Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of Information Technology Specialist duties.

2. Assumes responsibility for performing timely and effective user support services.

3. Assumes responsibility for the effective and efficient maintenance of computers and peripheral equipment.

4. Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective business relations with end users and outside vendors.

5. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintain effective communication and coordination with Credit Union personnel and with management.

6. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

1. High school graduate with two years of additional college computer training or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

2. Knowledge of Network operations and all related computer hardware and software.

Experience Required:

1. At least two years’ experience with PC hardware and software configurations and network support functions

Skills/Abilities Required:

1. Strong customer service skills and willingness to assist others.

2. Ability to communicate complex information clearly.

3. Attentive to detail.

4. Strong problem-solving skills.

5. Ability to work independently and coordinate well with other section personnel.

6. Ability to operate network server, computer tape drive and other business equipment.

7. Ability to handle confidential information professionally, maintaining the privacy of the employee and member
