We are looking for an experienced IT Customer Support Technician to join our team in Girard, Ohio.

This position is responsible for managing incoming helpdesk requests and calls from users. Candidates must be capable of investigating and resolving software and hardware problems conveyed from the computer users. The individual will communicate with the users of all departments ensuring computer issues are handled professionally, and that the highest quality of service is provided. Communication skills and attention to details are essential to this position.

This is not a remote position. This full-time position includes an awesome work environment and excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Provide valuable service to users; manage incoming calls from users, log the problem and ensure the issues are entered into the system
  • Test software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work
  • Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies
  • Write or revise user training manuals and procedures
    Handle problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine user problems, referring more complex problems to supervisor or technical staff
    Call software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products
  • Write software and hardware evaluation and recommendation for management review
  • Log and track calls using problem management database and maintains history records and related problem documentation.
    Develop training materials such as exercises and visual displays
    Install personal computers, software, and peripheral equipment
    Take responsibility and be accountable for the calls by managing all calls until they are completed, and the client is satisfied with our service

Requirements
  • 2-year minimum IT Help Desk experience, preferably in the Technology industry, with a strong aptitude for customer service
  • Excellent analytical, verbal/written communication skills, and good organizational habits required
  • A+ certification, MCP, Network+, and Server+ preferred
    Post-secondary education in Technology (certificates, degrees)
  • Knowledge of general Helpdesk systems (Ivanti Service Management preferred)
    Excellent knowledge of MS Office 365 applications.
  • Proficient experience using MS Exchange/SharePoint/OneDrive/Teams/Intune
  • Windows 10/11 Enterprise
  • Altiris/Symantec Management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Domain environment AD/Azure AD.
  • Team player assisting co-workers if and when the need arises
    Excellent attention to detail on all aspects of service in order to exceed Users expectations.
    Available but not limited to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00AM and 5:00PM
