IT Specialist

Job Description / Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, effective, and experienced IT Specialist to join our growing team. In this position, the IT Specialist maintains and improves Lake City Plating’s IT systems to ensure all employees have the technology they need to complete their work. They are responsible for providing computer and technical support to local and remote users. Their job duties may include setting up computers and devices, installing software, and troubleshooting computer issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IT requests and work with external IT firms to prioritize and execute
• Maintain and track IT-related inventory (determine recommendation for replacing, updating, and purchasing)
• Provide troubleshooting for technical issues, utilizing external IT firms if needed
• Manage Windows and Office 365 accounts/users
• Install and update company software and hardware as needed
• Assist BI & IT Manager with reporting and process improvements
• Other duties as assigned by management

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience in a technical disciple preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of PC hardware, relevant operating systems, and network fundamentals
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Good organization, time management, and prioritization
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong collaboration skills as part of a team
• Ability to keep company passwords and information confidential

Work Environment
This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. The performance of this position requires occasional exposure to a typical manufacturing area that requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, Steel-toed footwear, and other PPE as needed. The noise level is moderate.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an IT Specialist to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the IT Specialist is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The associate must use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The associate must occasionally lift and move items over 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.
