Job Purpose: Support for the development and maintenance of ARNG Guard Knowledge (GKO) site and the ARNG public website. The level of effort also includes design support to ARNG organizations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct hardware, software, imaging, re-imaging, troubleshooting physical equipment (computers, peripherals, printers, projectors, other equipment)
• Load computers with Army Gold Master using PXE / local image solution
• Handle REMEDY Ticketing System help desk support
• Early User Testing (EUT) and functionality checks of new systems and applications
• Attend IT-related meetings at National Guard, Human Resources Command, State, and local levels
• Build, manage, and update personnel information systems
• Perform user account maintenance / management as needed
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, systems, applications using “web-based remote” systems
• Perform IT Security management/maintenance
• Manage and maintain records containing Personal Identifiable Information (PII) IAW Army Regulations
• Support Training Technologists in local and mobile classroom training environments
• Review and present various security, vulnerability, and system operating status reports- daily, weekly, monthly
• Assist government with roll-out of new systems and applications
• Assist government with purchase and “lifecycle” processes for equipment throughout ARNG
• Ability to travel 5-10%

Qualifications:

• Possess High School Diploma or qualifying equivalent
• Possess current CompTIA Security + (CE) or higher cert., or be able to obtain NLT hired date
• Ability to successfully pass National Agency Check (NACLC) and be awarded an Interim Clearance or possess a current Secret clearance
• 3+ years of Information Technology support experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products to include TEAMS
• Demonstrated strong IT customer service/support skills
• Familiarity with Remote Desktop protocols (RDP / SCCM)
• US Citizen
• Ability to travel throughout 54 states and territories 5-10%
• Residence within 50 miles of Fort Knox, KY and be able to report from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday with occasional work off-hours and on weekends.

Preferred:

• 3 + years of experience working in Army, National Guard IT/Automation environments
• Prior State Automation Specialist experience
