Our opening is for a workers' compensation legal assistant (a paralegal degree, while desirable, is not required). McKenzie & Snyder is a small law firm in Hamilton. We practice personal injury and workers' compensation law. We are family conscious and accommodating. The office is located at the edge of German Village, near RiversEdge Park, and includes free parking. We are within walking distance of the several downtown Hamilton shops and restaurants. The personal injury and workers' compensation staff, together with eight additional legal assistants, firm support staff, and attorneys, are part of a friendly and supportive team.

Responsibilities :

*creating & maintaining client files

*meeting clients

*telephonic & personal communication

*drafting correspondence

*ordering, collecting, organizing & summarizing medical records

*drafting & assisting in answering discovery

*electronic court and administrative filing

Paralegal Qualifications :

*Experience in a personal injury or workers' compensation legal office is necessary

*Paralegal certificate is valued, but not required

*Above-average reading, writing, typing skills, & knowledge of Word is necessary

*Familiarity with Law Office communication & scheduling software applications is a plus

*Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
