This position is responsible for the plant maintenance department. The position will ensure that the plant equipment is operating effectively and is properly maintained for the plant to achieve its production requirements. This position ensures all machine breakdowns, preventive and scheduled maintenance duties are repaired and completed in a timely fashion. Position is responsible for the maintenance of the plant facilities and grounds.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises, leads and motivates a team to efficiently achieve departmental objectives through daily planning and scheduling and reviews of work performance
• Minimize line downtime, assist with process and technical operational improvements, and sustain overall equipment reliability
• Ensures that breakdowns or disruptions in the production processes are minimized
• Implements programs to ensure regular inspection and maintenance of all the machinery in the facility
• Develops and/or implements long-range strategic improvement maintenance plan(s)
• Work with and support plant supervision to ensure production requirements are met
• Train and instruct mechanics and machine operators as needed
• Support plant mechanics and operators as needed for continued plant production
• Schedule preventive maintenance for all plant equipment as needed and assigns scheduled maintenance tasks to appropriate personnel
• Responsible for maintaining and auditing preventive maintenance records
• Prepares reports, analyzes data and makes recommendations for improving operations and solving maintenance related problems
• Manage internal/subcontracted projects from start to finish
• Serves as primary contact for all plant electrical issues
• Define and maintain an inventory of spare parts to reduce the risk of equipment downtime
• Responsible for the acquisition and requisition of spare parts for all plant equipment, buildings and grounds
• Effectively manage department resource within budget
• Attend scheduled meetings (daily production, weekly maintenance, etc.)
• Provide expertise and advice to all plant personnel by sharing best practices and continuous improvements with the other plants
• Ensure company housekeeping standards are maintained for all plant equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Assist Plant General Manager with other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related disciplined / or min of 10-15 years of manufacturing plant maintenance experience
• Min. 5 yrs maintenance management experience
• Experience with press stamping and forming equipment
• Understanding of troubleshooting and RCCA analysis methodologies
• Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems/circuits
• Adept using Microsoft Office products
• Experience using CMMS
• Demonstrated planning, organizational and project management experience
• Proven hands-on shop floor experience
• Good work record with a strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a high volume fast paced environment

Currently, we have four plants located strategically throughout the United States to support our customers. At our Streetsboro facility, we have a metal stamping plant to provide component parts for our pails.
