PURPOSE
This position is responsible for provisioning daily operation and services, including building-related maintenance and repairs. The job scope includes operational planning, identification of capital and expense projects required to maintain production output and facility necessities and interface with senior company leadership.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assists in developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Write Capital Appreciation Requests for capital projects.
• Develop detailed plans to track special projects
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and, techniques
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Ensure contract compliance
• Continually evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance procedures and programs and makes changes to improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage vendors and contractors as required to fulfill assigned duties, including sourcing and contracting with the vendors and contractors.
• Overseeing facility renovations, repairs, refurbishments and other building projects.
• Develops, implements and reviews regularly, site-specific maintenance logs for department.
• Coordinates, arranges, and supervises, or provides for the completion of corrective and preventive maintenance in accordance with company operating procedures, practices and financial considerations.
• Evaluates long-term needs in relation to major projects and factory improvements.
• Establishes procedures and contacts to ensure timely repairs of equipment.
• Provide maintenance training to include the effective utilization of the maintenance logs, completion of routine maintenance specific to facility, equipment operations and support.
• Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

Salaried Exempt Job Description

• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Maintains facility and assets to USDA, FDA, OSHA, and EPA guidelines.
• Special projects as directed by manager and/or as requested by other functional managers in the factory.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES

• Ability to identify and solve problems.
• The incumbent should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 5 to 7 years-related experiences and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• General knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Competent in Microsoft Office including Excel.
• Must possess mechanical/analytical and technical skills.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and refrigeration systems.
• Must have excellent writing/verbal communication skills and ability to provide leadership, teamwork and cooperation.
• Must have excellent planning and organization skills.
• Understanding of direct and overhead cost systems.
• Must have good computer skills.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule to include days, afternoons, midnights, and weekend work..
• Must have the knowledge of good manufacturing practices, and food processing equipment. Be safety and quality minded and have the ability to make sound decisions. Understand OSHA/FDA/USDA/EPA requirements.
• In order to perform the essential functions of this position, the incumbent must have mobility to move around the factory environment and equipment. This may require climbing, lifting up to maximum of

100 lbs, working in awkward spaces, etc
