Who we are looking for:
As the Manager, Payroll Operations, you will be directly responsible for managing the day-to-day of the ACV Payroll processes, both domestically and globally. The role will include supporting timely and accurate processing of multi-state and international payrolls, managing a team, and effective implementation of payroll processes and systems.

What you will do:

  • Ensure the Team is consistently maintaining excellent customer service with Teammates and external parties through a People first approach
  • Responsible for day-to-day oversight of the payroll team
  • Ensure payroll operations are performed in compliance with company policies, country, state/province, and local laws
  • Evaluate and adapt current payroll process to meet the growing needs of the organization and recommend long-term strategies for continuous improvement
  • Supports processes to enhance payroll operational efficiency, including the design and implementation of internal controls
  • Assist in identifying, developing, and implementing payroll processes that comply with the requirements for new jurisdictions and/or country payrolls
  • Supports best practices for payroll procedures to include earnings, stock-based compensation, garnishments, tax withholdings, payroll tax filings, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and provincial payroll, working with the legal department and people operations as appropriate
  • Oversee the preparation and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
  • Supports reconciliation and approval of all payroll operational steps in partnership with internal teams
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of year-end reporting required by federal, state and local authorities, such as Form W-2
  • Support cross-functional activities with People Team, Finance, Legal and other departments as needed
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex business problems related to payroll systems and operations
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships inter-departmentally
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What you will need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of payroll experience
  • 2 years of management experience
  • A people-first approach and a commitment to excellence
  • A passion for the mission, vision, and values of ACV
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail, analytical abilities, and consistent follow-through, including project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in responding and resolving to employee inquiries on payroll
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Public Company payroll management experience preferred
