Job Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of custom dynamic and electromechanical assemblies from concept to production release. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager, as well as electrical, mechanical, and optical teams to create complete production ready assemblies on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design of prototype, custom, and product assemblies
• Support design workflow from concept to production
• Generate complete design packages and documentation
• Support fabrication and assembly of new designs as required
• Assist with Quality Control inspection and resolve MRB issues

Requirements/Qualifications

• B.S in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of (1+) years detailed SolidWorks mechanical CAD drafting and design experience
• Experience with electro-mechanical and dynamic assemblies
• SolidWorks PDM experience preferred
• Capability to read and implement electrical schematics into electro-mechanical design
• Understanding of fabrication and assembly processes
• A quick learner who is highly motivated and self-reliant
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to think outside the box and bring innovative ideas for new products
• Works well in a dynamic environment as a team player
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
