Education/Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical background
• Strong background using Solidworks for 3D modeling
• 2 years experience with capital equipment is preferred
• A working knowledge of boilers, heat transfer equipment, or auxiliary boiler room equipment is preferred
• Candidate must be willing to work independently after proper training and be a self-starter

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with Sales/Project Management to develop production plans for projects
• Follow customer specifications to complete product design
• Work with mechanical designer to select components, develop drawings and maintain as-built revisions
• Create/maintain top level drawing including ownership of P&ID drawings
• Advise mechanical designer in the creating and modifying of 3D modeling in Solidworks
• Work with 2D AutoCAD drawings
• Select proper components and generate BOM’s in Infor/XA material planning systems
• Provide needed calculations for tank and/or pressure piping components
• Work with vendors to introduce new and more cost effective products into our systems
• Participate in the inspections of completed and partially completed products
• Help maintain ASME Quality Control System
