Job Description :

Independent nephrology practice in Southern Maryland is seeking a full-time, certified Nurse Practitioner or licensed Physician Assistant to join our team of 4 nephrologists, nurse practitioner, and physician assistant. The successful candidate will work independently as well as in collaboration with our health care team in providing excellent care to our office, dialysis, and hospital patients. Experience is preferred but we are open to training new graduates.

This position will work in a variety of settings:

· 1 day per week in one of our three offices.

· 2-3 days per week rounding in assigned dialysis centers

· 1-2 days per week rounding and seeing consults in a local area hospital

Job duties include but are not limited to:

· Coordinate and provide exceptional and appropriate care to patients to include evaluation, diagnosis and education

· Communicate with nursing staff and collaborating providers regarding patient care

· Chart daily visit notes in an electronic medical record (Epic) in a timely fashion

The position is structured as follows:

· Full-time

· Monday – Friday, day shift only

· To a limited extent, the NP/PA can create his/her own rounding schedule, thus allowing for flexibility in the work schedule

Experience and Qualifications:

· Minimum one-year experience, preferred

· Current Maryland NP or PA License, required

· Self-motivated, directed, flexible and a team player

· Positive attitude and customer service orientation
