POSITION SUMMARY

• Responsible for delivery and documentation of professional occupational therapy services to agency patients in accordance with an established physician plan of care and in compliance with applicable licensure/certification requirements, professional occupational therapy acts, and agency policies and procedures.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Education
• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.

• Minimum Work Experience
• One year of clinical experience in occupational therapy in an acute care or rehabilitation setting with exposure to geriatric and medical/surgical patients.

• Required Licenses/Certifications
• Current licensure in occupational therapy as required by the state of Texas. Valid Texas driver's license with available and dependable transportation and proof of current automobile liability insurance. CPR certified. Evidence of current registration by the American Occupational Therapy Association.

• Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to meet minimum hiring standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to meet the physical demands which include standing, Walking, bending, lifting, and transferring; may involve lifting or positioning of patients. Must be able to utilize good judgment, demonstrate patience, and maintain a professional demeanor. Must be able to sustain concentration in a busy and stressful environment. Must work varied hours and schedules. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range; May be exposed to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. May be exposed to violent or disturbed individuals.

Pay: $58,955.17 - $115,308.77 per year
