Front Desk Sales & Customer Service Associate

The New York Musician's Center has an immediate opening for an energetic member of our team. Position is part-time with the potential for full-time in the future. This is a great position for someone looking to join a fast-paced company who has great problem solving skills, and excited for a position that challenges them and provides opportunities for upward growth. ***Position is based our of our Rockville Centre location (with the ability to cover shifts every once in awhile at our Bellmore location). Perfect for someone with a flexible schedule. We provide initial and ongoing training.

16 hours/week. Wednesday & Thursdays 4pm-8pm. Saturdays 9-5pm.

No music experience necessary. We prefer someone who strong in customer service who can provide our families with an exceptional experience.

The New York Musician's Center serves almost 1,000 students weekly and is growing quickly. Job Duties

Front Desk staff oversee the student schedule, teacher's schedules, and other tasks including (not limited to):

• Phone Sales Signing Up People who are interested in our service
• Scheduling
• Developing interpersonal relationships with students, parents, and faculty
• Managing student and teacher schedules, and upcoming events such as recitals
• Answering phone calls, emails and walk-in inquiries from prospective students
• Planning and executing high quality company events
• Oversight of teacher and student schedules

Professional Experience 2-3 years of Experience Preferred but not required

• Sales or hospitality experience (even if in retail or food)
• Providing quality customer service via phone and in person
• Collaborative and independent work environments

Other Skills

• Proficiency in Google Drive, Word, Excel,
• Strong organization, planning and analytical skills
• Initiative and ability to work
• Excellent written and verbal skills
