Onesource HR by Nix, LLC, a dynamically developing HR consulting firm, is seeking a dependable payroll specialist to join our team. Under the supervision of our Senior Consultant, the ideal applicant will oversee payroll processing and administrative functions. The Payroll Expert will oversee the submission and tracking of our clients' payroll, including certified payroll. Additionally, the ideal applicant will assist with some internal and external HR-related inquiries and requests.

We'd like to meet you if you have prior experience as a payroll assistant, payroll specialist, or HR assistant.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll, including certified payroll for some of our clients.

• Maintain payroll folders and reporting with confidentiality.

• Provide support as required with regular, certified payroll distribution.

• Provide customer support to clients and vendors.

• Write and distribute emails, correspondence memos, faxes, and forms.

• Maintain an Excel sheet with project details.

• Assist with ad-hoc HR projects.

• Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.

What are we looking for in a candidate?

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• A minimum of 3 or more years in a payroll position performing all payroll functions (experience with the Construction Payroll Department is preferred but not required).

• Some exposure to human resources practices and procedures.

• Advanced MS Excel and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, QuickBooks, ADP Run, and/or Paychex Flex.

• 2+ years of data entry experience

• Accurate 10-key by touch and demonstrated data-entry skills.

• Demonstrated customer service excellence, including professional and courteous phone skills.

• Ability to successfully work on several tasks with similar timeframes and deadlines.

• Strong aptitude for learning new systems and programs.
