Job Description :

Must have current insurance experience and hold a P&C license.

Job Summary:

Exercise independent judgement and discretion when performing the associated responsibilities.

  • Responsible for managing new business through the Bold Penguin Storefront
  • Ownership of all new business portfolios
  • Manage and service accounts from quote to bind and renewal
  • Recommend appropriate coverage, and identify risks, on analysis of prospect’s circumstances
  • Collect and submit all necessary information to market new business
  • Prepare proposals for inbound business from existing Producers
  • Work collaboratively with other Account Executives and Producers

Essential Functions:

  • Extensive daily client contact fostering an excellent relationship
  • Participate collaboratively at staff/department meetings
  • Review policies/quotes for accuracy and adequacy of coverage
  • Formulate and review proposals for presentation
  • Attend client and prospect meetings
  • Coordinate pre-renewal and strategy meetings
  • Review audits and endorsements for accuracy
  • Prepare professional submissions for the marketplace
  • Develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets/goals

Duties and Responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned as required by business needs.

  • Authorize the release of quotations, proposals, certificates, and applications
  • Review and audit policies to ensure that they are compliant, and coverage is confirmed per the proposal
  • Keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverage, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance

Education and/or Experience:

  • 4 year degree College Education preferred with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the insurance or related industry
  • Property & Casualty broker’s license or ability to obtain license within 6 months of hire

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, EPIC and Salesforce
  • Familiarity with carrier websites including but not limited to; PIE Insurance, CHUBB, AMTrust, CAN, Markel, Travelers, Hiscox, Liberty, Nationwide
  • Ability to multitask
  • Works independently or in a team environment
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Keen negotiation skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Interact with others effectively utilizing oral and written communication skills, cooperating purposefully while providing information and guidance as needed to achieve the business goals of SterlingRisk
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of principles and methods of selling products; services and value propositions; sales marketing strategies and tactics; technical knowledge of insurance and risk management products, services, and value propositions; pipeline management; and cross-selling
  • Ability to work well under pressure with strict deadlines
