Job Purpose

The Natural Life Product Developer is both a creative and business role responsible for leading the product development process, from the idea to product launch. The Developer works closely with the merchants, designers, creative service and marketing team to make and market more “treasures” that our customers love. Excellent organization, analytical and communication skills are key skillsets for success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Attend development meetings and reviews as key note taker to provide timely feedback to the team and vendors including edits/changes, pricing reviews, photography, and attribute notes.

· Maintain all product status updates.

· Assist developers by researching retail price comps and retail line logic.

· Help to manage and maintain development processes and platforms.

· Maintain and organize development sample and swatch storage.

· Support the development team with branding and packaging.

· Assist developers in creating projects in Centric PLM for new sourcing, sending and accepting cost quotes, and sample request process.

· Assist developers by reviewing spec sheets as final stage of development.

· Coordinates the sending of development packages to overseas partners.

· Manages the tracking and unpacking of all incoming sample packages from overseas partners.

· Assist in product testing, wash/care, quality.

· QC TOP’s received from vendors.

· Supports art team in auditing Brandfolder.

· Contribute positively to team dynamic and manage up where necessary.

· Assists with any additional work required to ensure proper and timely completion of release.

Experience and Qualifications

· College degree required

· 1+ years administrative experience. Ideally working in and/or managing product development function. Vendor management and sales background preferred.

· Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills

· Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented, meticulous and creative

· Creativity, sensibility for merchandising and customer needs

· Organization & Time Management – able to work independently with minimal supervision, planning, scheduling and organizing professional schedule to complete actions within established deadlines, handling multiple priorities with strong attention to detail

· Team Orientation & Interpersonal – highly motivated, passionate, and creative team-player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels within and external to the organization

· Communication – able to effectively and persuasively express self verbally and in writing, using correct language and grammar in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner

· Analytical Problem-Solving & Decision Making – able to proactively identify issues and viable options, make thoughtful recommendations considering overall risk, and short-term and long-term impact

· Systems & Software – intermediate to advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications, including windows XP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Internet

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
