Particle Measuring Systems (PMS) sets the standard for cleanroom contamination monitoring. With more than 60 patents, we create the technology that enables our customers to make fact-based decisions, improve process yields and comply with ever-changing regulatory requirements.
The Role
To continue and accelerate our growth, we are looking for a Product Line Manager for contamination monitoring products used to monitor water, chemicals and slurry in the Semiconductor, Display, LED, Disk Drive, Electro-Optics and other high-tech markets.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned product lines and related investment delivering growth and profitability goals
- Ensures production planning efforts are accurately forecasted and staged
- Use voice of customer to define product roadmaps that anticipate market requirements and create a competitive advantage.
- Develop business cases and requirements documents to justify and guide R&D efforts
- Inspire and drive the organization toward the common roadmap goals.
- Maintain clear understanding of competitive space and each products value proposition
- Responsible for the creation and deployment of technical marketing, sales information and collateral to field personnel and customers. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of collateral.
- Ensure regional marketing and sales teams are equipped to win against the competition.
- Provide expert guidance to customers and global sales channel of correct equipment to meet their application and process needs.
- Ensures optimal product lifecycle management of new and pre-existing products.
- Collaborates with a variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, manufacturing and operations related to product management, sustaining engineering and order fulfillment.
- Author/co-author technical articles related to assigned products with technologists or customers.
- Maintains customer communications and contacts thru online CRM system.
- Works with MarCom on collateral and tradeshows related to product line
- Requires domestic and international travel. (25%)
- Administers and complies with all EH&S policy, procedures as set forth by Federal, State and company directives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Engineering or the sciences. An advanced degree or MBA is a plus
- 6 or more years of experience marketing instrumentation or equipment to the semiconductor industry
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Strong understanding of semiconductor materials, device production and process challenges.
- Specific knowledge of semiconductor yield drivers, process chemistries or production environments is desirable.
- CMP experience a bonus
- Has demonstrated marketing and/or business skills, including market assessments, prospecting, business development and customer management.
- Has proven ability to work across functional and cultural boundaries
The Nuts and Bolts
Location –This is an 75% “in-office” position. Amount of in office can vary depending on the status of projects, etc. The location of this position is in Boulder, Colorado. Relocation may be offered for this role, but local candidates will receive first consideration.

Pay Range
$91400 - 140415 depending upon experience
How we determine what we pay (compensation philosophy)
Particle Measuring Systems determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for the Boulder, Colorado area. We will evaluate external equity, which is the relative marketplace job worth of jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we make competitive offers between the minimum and around the midpoint of the range. This allows the new employee room for future merit increases during review cycles. There may be times when we will offer above the midpoint. The decision to do so will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and the compensation rates of the employees within the company doing the same position.
