We Are Looking to Add a Key Member to our Product Management Team!
As a member of the Product Management team, the Embedded Finance Product Owner manages the product development process within GreatAmerica and has sole authority over product requirements and the intended content released to ensure advancement of GreatAmerica’s embedded finance capabilities. In this role the Product Owner will work closely with the GreatAmerica Strategic Technology Group to develop product roadmap and robust backlog that will bring financing solutions into a customer’s native experience.
User stories will be defined and documented by the Product Owner through close collaboration with GreatAmerica internal teams (sales, marketing, systems, operational and finance), customers, and other external sources. This role will apply proven communication, analytical and project management skills in a self-driven environment. Working with decision makers and across teams, the Product Owner will identify and prioritize solutions. Regular communication with key stakeholders inside and outside GreatAmerica will be crucial.
As a Product Owner – Embedded Finance, You’ll:
  • Contribute to and own the execution of the product vision, strategy and roadmap for the Embedded Finance team
  • Maintain and represent the customers’ needs to inform implementation of product features
  • Own the scope of the product and works with various stakeholders to identify personas, define the minimum viable product, and define hypotheses
  • Define, write, and prioritize user stories which direct the design and development of work
  • Organize complex information into understandable user stories and ensure user stores are value and customer-centric
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders across the business to ensure the final product meets desired requirements and preferences
  • Determine when user stories have delivered the desired outcome and decide when to go to production
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and leadership to design and execute go to market plan
  • Conduct self-consistent with the principles of GreatAmerica
  • Review and analyze the current functionality of existing products
  • Develop a deep knowledge of business processes to ensure the business needs are understood and technical implications are conveyed in a manner that business users can understand, and technical team can develop from
  • Evaluate business drivers and technology requirements to define specifications that meet business requirements
  • Internally, the candidate must interface with many departments and organizations
  • Provide and communicate clear definition of the product and the roadmap
  • Review and analyze existing functionality of current product
  • Identify proactive improvement and holistic enhancements to product
  • Develop deep knowledge of affected business areas and the product
  • Evaluate business drivers and technology requirements to define specifications that meet business needs

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills to build credibility
  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Must be able to multi-task and have a combination of organizational and analytical skills
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent required.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience delivering embedded financial capabilities.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in API-related projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to have a successful relationship-based work experience both internally and externally.
  • Minimum 8 years practical work experience in project management/business analyst role in a complex business and systems environment.
  • Broad understanding of business processes and project management concepts required.
  • Will need to have a thorough understanding of customer needs, industry trends and GreatAmerica’s position within our markets. In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology ideal but not required.
