In this role you will be responsible for the cost analysis and forecasting for one or more major projects, on the owner's side. Your duties will include cost control, forecasting, contract administration, reporting and project management support. This is an ideal role for someone that enjoys project controls and wants to make a difference. This is a contract role, anticipated to have a one year duration, with extensions possible.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

The Project Controls Analyst is anticipated to have the following duties and responsibilities:

Cost Engineering

• Maintain the cost tracking system
• Prepare regular cost forecasts and cost reports for internal use using independent data analysis
• Review and validate cost forecasts provided by contractors and vendors
• Prepare monthly accruals based on vendor information
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for submission to corporate by aggregating data from other cost analysts and project managers.

Technical Skills & Expertise

· 3+ years track record of successful related experience in project controls that demonstrates skills

· Understanding of construction activities required to deliver projects, electric utility experience a plus

· Time management skills, including managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines

· Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Excel, Office and in other project management software

· Experience using PeopleSoft and Hyperion for data query

Soft Skills

· Independent thinker able to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment

· Proven ability to produce error-free work under deadline

· Ability to balance focus on the various aspects of the job, setting priorities and maintaining consistency

· Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage ambiguity

· Team player with strong initiative, intrinsically motivated, works autonomously

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking, negotiating and customer service

· Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Education, Training & Certifications

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

· CST/CPS; CCT/CCP; CAPM/PMP a plus
