Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

The Neuropsychiatric Clinic was established in 2005 in Villa Rica, GA. We have a secondary location in Lithia Springs, GA. We are a TMS provider. We are currently seeking an ANCC certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to grow with us. The candidate will be expected to provide services alternating days out of both offices in person. This is not a remote position at this time.

The candidate should be highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented. The candidate should be able to type a minimum of 45 wpm and document using customizable touchscreen templates within our world class and user friendly MDLogic EHR in an efficient and proficient manner. The candidate should exhibit sound clinical judgment and independently practice under the direction of the Medical Director. Outpatient experience in a moderately paced clinical environment preferred. Candidate should be highly enthusiastic and comfortable working as provider in advance nurse practice with minimal oversight of medical director. Candidate should feel comfortable treating the lifespan.

The practice provides abundant staff support so that the candidate can focus on direct patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess psychiatric patients in an initial psychiatric evaluation.
• Prescribe, adjust and/or titrate psychotropic medications in medication management.
• Order and review labwork appropriately.

• Perform brief supportive and/or solution-oriented psychotherapy.
• Refer to therapists for more intensive psychotherapy.
• Consult with the medical director when appropriate.

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current GA License as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
• May consider candidates willing to apply for GA APRN license.
• ANCC Certified ( PMNHP-BC) in Psychiatric Mental Health.
