Mission Support is a manufacturing and overhaul facility providing structural subassemblies and components to the aerospace industry. We are presently searching for a quality engineer to help support the growth of our business.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Working with the procurement team to ensure technical data is reviewed for accuracy and provided to suppliers accurately.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes with the goal of continuously improving process performance.
• Work with suppliers to improve supplier quality and delivery performance, as well as root-cause analysis and conducting supplier visits and audits.
• Proactively participate with customers and suppliers on the determination of required product specifications.
• Assist with QA Dept. in inspecting incoming parts as well as in-process inspections of assemblies in house.
• Create Quality Inspection plans for the QA and Production Depts. to ensure all products meet quality control standards.
• Work with QA and Production to implement NADCAP compliance for heat treat, NDI, plating, and welding processes.
• Assist with Production planner for in-house part manufacturing processes.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Familiarity with legacy aircraft blueprints.
• Familiarity with all types of aerospace sheet metal forming.
• Familiarity with precision machining, both lathe and mill.
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes at the shop floor level, GD&T, and proficient use of precision measuring gauges.
• Experience in an Aerospace QA inspection or other relevant industry
• Knowledge of ISO9001 / AS9100
• BSME, ASQ, CQE or trade school Certification in CAD design and / or aerospace engineering experience is a plus.
• Must possess a strong skill set with 3D CAD programs such as Mastercam, Verisurf, NX/Unigraphics, MBD, Pro Engineer, AutoCAD, Polyworks or Solidworks.
• Must have CMM experience or experience with Faro/Romer Arm and Faro Laser Tracker/Scanner
• Must have a solid knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T, as well as a high proficiency of MS Office and Teams, and a strong attention to detail.
• Must have strong reading and writing documentation skills, with experience in document control.

• 5+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.

Pay: $37.00 - $40.00 per hour
