Position: Field Quality Control Inspector

Classification: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

The Field Quality Control Inspector is responsible for directing the Quality Control teams performing the quality inspection, documentation, and reporting of all solar electric and energy storage products and equipment installed by Gridworks and their subcontractors.

As a hands-on leader, the Field Quality Control Inspector will build, lead and develop teams of quality professionals dedicated to testing complex renewable energy systems, leading the activity of Quality Control staff in ensuring testing is performed and documented consistent with established processes and standards.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Witness and lead all site inspections within their disciplines and assignment.
• Direct the day-to-day operations of multiple QC Teams and QC Team Leads.
• Coordinate all site inspections with the site subcontractors.
• Ensure that all Inspection Checklist (ICL) inspection reports are accurate and that all attached documents are current status.
• Ensure all work is correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken.
• Review all inspection reports for compliance.
• Assist the Site QC Supervisor in the organization, maintenance and control of the quality system.
• Coordinate with the site construction engineers and provide assistance when requested.
• Prepare nonconformance reports to the Site QC Supervisor and assist in developing corrective actions.
• Assist the Site QC Supervisor and construction manager in resolving any discrepancies and ambiguities.
• Coordinate with the customer’s QC inspectors for the resolution of site problems.
• Coordinate with the site subcontractors to ensure open lines of communications exist and are maintained.
• Assist the site subcontractors in the resolution of drawing interpretation.
• Attend the weekly QC meetings.
• Review work procedures and method statements for compliance with good work practices and the customers contract specializations.
• The issuance of nonconformance reports in conjunction with the Site QC Supervisor.
• Completion of QC site instructions and coordinate their closure.
• Review of inspection test packages during the course of construction activities.
• Compliance with the site’s health and safety regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
