United Foods International (USA), Inc., specialized in private label food manufacturing & packaging in Hayward, CA is hiring the 2nd shift Quality Control technician! Must be able to work Monday through Friday, from 2 pm to 10:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct laboratory testing and sensory testing, such as pH, Salt, Brix, Aw, viscosity and organoleptic evaluations for WIP and finished products (*weigh up to 50 lbs)

· Conduct a pre-operation inspection for the production lines

· Perform start-up and hourly line checks for the production lines, such as pressure test, weight check, seals check and lot number check

· Report any deficiencies found during routine check to QA department

· Enforce the administration of Quality Assurance policies in all areas of the facility, such as GMP and sanitation

· Place defective products on Hold and conduct investigation

· Provide assistance to production team to ensure food safety and quality objectives are met, such as using correct labels and packaging materials

· Other duties will be assigned

Qualifications:

· Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or related degree with lab experience, OR equivalent work experience

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs in order to run testing on finished products

· Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook

· Must have good written and verbal communication skills

· Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 2 pm to 10:30 pm

· Flexibility in work hours strongly preferred
