SUMMARY OF JOB

Responsible to ensure the overall quality of manufactured product conformity together with engineering, production & customers including the execution of monitoring and measurement activities to ensure conformity per the company’s Quality Management System. May have employees assigned as direct reports.

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control.
• Excellent troubleshooting to ensure products and processes meet quality standards.
• Strong, clear communication and engineering skills.
• Aerospace and/or Defense quality control experience.
• ·Ability to read and interpret ANSI Y14.5 engineering drawings.

PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• ASQ certification
• BA/BS degree or higher in engineering or other technical discipline.
• Demonstrated ability working with prime contractors and government agencies.
• Lean sigma certification.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews technical work documentation to identify critical quality characteristics which require inspection/verification.
• Reviews quality records to ensure all contract requirements are achieved as per applicable contract.
• Implementation of quality control/inspection activities to verify materials, equipment, processes, and products meet requirements.
• Carries out investigations of non-conformances to ensure containment actions, root cause and preventative actions are taken to prevent reoccurrence.
• Control of monitoring/measuring devices to ensure calibration, function and acceptance.
• Oversite of in-house QA and QC for incoming, in-process and outgoing product.
• Responsible for all aspects for the RMA System.
• Daily oversite of the MRB Program, including identifying, documenting, segregating, dispositioning and authorizing rework of nonconforming products and materials.
• Interfaces with all departments with an emphasis in continuous improvement.

Quality Assurance Manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• The following physical demands are typical of the daily activities of this position.
• Behind a desk for 30 – 50 % of the time.
• Travel (primarily local) as required.
• Standing/Walking while performing inspections and other assigned duties 70 - 75% of the time.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
