Job Description :

This Project Management position will be a member of our Insurance Response Division. As a project manager in this division, you will be responsible for managing the project from commencement through completion and closeout, utilizing a combination of self-perform forces as well as subcontractor buyouts.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the project to ensure timely completion of the project within budget
  • Manage and supervise all self-perform and subcontractor field personnel  Track field personnel and sub-contractors’ time / material daily  Work with Foremen on projects to ensure jobs are set up properly and running operating efficiently
  • Manage your time between multiple job sites
  • Ensure that projects are adequately staffed
  • Prepare scopes of work and obtain subcontractor quotes; issue contracts for subcontractors as required
  • Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks with field personnel
  • Advise clients in the selection and installation of finishes, fixtures, and furnishings. Electronically document all selections and client approvals. Copy to project file.
  • Order materials and coordinate delivery to project sites
  • Process invoices and assign cost codes
  • Coordinate with Architects and Engineers as may be required
  • Coordinate with Estimating and Accounting  Obtain all required permits, governmental approvals, authorizations, code reviews, and sign- off’s necessary
  • Evaluate and make recommendations regarding changes to the base project scope.
  • Prepare, track, and manage all change orders.
  • Maintain electronic files of all relevant project documentation
  • Prepare, track, and update a list of unresolved issues or items that may impede project progress
  • Participate in project management meetings
  • Monitor and track punch lists for completion, warrantee work and project close out
  • Prepare project schedules and reports for senior leadership

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Work authorization (Required)
  • Thorough knowledge of construction industry and project management principles
  • Residential Construction Management Experience: 5 Years
  • Commercial Construction Management Experience: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint) is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or other Gant Chart software is required
  • Proficiency in construction management software is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints is required
  • OSHA 10 hour (Required); OSHA 30 hour preferred

Education:

  • Such as may have been gained through considerable employment in a management capacity for mid-sized residential/construction projects >$500K.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with specialization in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering as related to building construction; and Experience (Preferred)
  • Or, any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience
