PURPOSE STATEMENT

Organizes and leverages available data and manages the sales operations and retail operations to support a specific division in order to achieve sales objectives and growth. Lead the execution of retail sales and growth plans by partnering with broker partners and sales division.

This is a remote position but must be willing to travel to St. Simons Island GA for meetings and visiting brokers and stores in the area up to 15% as needed

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

Sales Operations (80%)

  • Primary contact to address & resolve escalated issues within sales that involve supply chain or sales operations.
  • Manage and communicate changes to the Rich’s distribution system to include changes in order policies, distribution centers, and other logistical concerns.
  • Responsible for ongoing master data / systems support such as maintaining customer relationship hierarchies, sales structures, and other various SAP records.
  • Understand broker agreements and ensure proper commissions are setup and paid.
  • Operationalizing and/or deploying new product information and new item set up to our customer base in collaboration with CBU marketing, Customer marketing, and Sales leadership.
  • Assist with portfolio optimization communication involving discontinued products.
  • Lead published price list changes & implementation on behalf of the division.
  • Research and reconciliation of invoice & pricing issues on an on-going basis. This also involves ensuring SAP price list records are updated and correct alongside the divisional Trade Manager.
  • Support acquisition work for any master data or pricing setup.
  • Communicate & coordinate sales opportunities of potential spoilage risks.
  • Lead Recall/Withdrawal efforts to include coordination with QA recall team, resulting customer and sales communications, customer follow-up efforts and the tracking of associated fines & fees.
  • Support divisional IBP efforts as necessary (deck preparation, summarized risks & opps, etc)

Retail Operations (20%)

  • Achieve operating income, volume, share, and Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing and Shelving (MAPS) goals by managing best in class retail execution.
  • Effectively mine, organize and analyze data from retail operations, develop reporting and ultimately provide insights to the retail operations team to drive better execution. This includes customer pricing validation, review of risk & opportunities using Sales Force and forecasting.
  • Integrate retail execution into the business process through effective communication with various partners including Revenue/Analytics COE, Customer Service, Sales and broker partners.
  • Evaluate the success and establish plans for improvement of the broker’s retail team through execution of promotional plans and validation of retail execution.
  • Super user and training of system and processes to drive improvements and engagement for assigned division.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in related field required (e.g.; business management, finance, supply chain or related field)
Minimum 5 years of sales and business leadership experience. Consumer packaged goods preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop technology based business tools for a diverse range of objectives that contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the business partners
Strong project management, and organizational skills is required
Demonstrated ability in creating and implementation of processes to align needs and solutions is required.
A proven track record of working in an environment where a high degree of collaboration is required
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, sometimes requiring managing and leading without authority
Demonstrated ability and experience to use analytics to determine root causes and identify solutions is preferred
Strong PC proficiency to include comprehensive MS Office (Word, advanced Excel, Access and PowerPoint) experience in SAP and with CRM software/tools such as Salesforce, MS Dynamics strongly preferred.
