JOB SUMMARY:
The Sales Support Representative is responsible for working with customers through each step of the sales process to ensure customer satisfaction. They will demonstrate excellent customer service and professionalism during online, in-person, and phone conversations with customers. They will develop relationships with customers and seek opportunities to present additional products to current and new customers. This position will be expected to learn the product portfolio and will work closely to support the outside sales team, customer service, production, technical and supply chain.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
§ Support customers by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing customer updates and developing small accounts.
§ Customer price list review for accuracy and implementation into the respective computer systems.
§ Be involved with and provide support to resolve customer complaints including maintaining communication with customers by troubleshooting, reporting and tracking problems or concerns.
§ Be the point of contact for weekly customer calls.
§ Perform administrative functions on top accounts and other miscellaneous sales administrative duties.
§ Stay up to date on product portfolio and participate in educational opportunities.
§ Work with various departments to accomplish organizational goals.
§ Performs data entry duties and creates reports in regard to metrics, sales figures and other key data.
§ Ensures that a professional image is maintained through all communications both internally and externally.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to work efficiently with customers and internal stakeholders
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite and other programs
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to use critical and creative thinking skills
Ability and willingness to successfully multi-task
10-25% overnight travel expected
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with concentration in marketing, economics, advertising, or business administration or ten years of direct customer/sales experience.
One to three years of industry sales experience preferred.
Pay range is $55K-$68K depending on education and experience.
