We are seeking a hard-working and detail-oriented Seasonal HR Coordinator to join our Aptive team! This is a full-time position located in Provo, UT. The individual we are looking for is also someone that enjoys working in a team environment and excels working at an individual level.

Job Type: Seasonal, Full-time

Compensation: $15 and $20 per hour

Responsibilities include:

• Initiate pre-employment background checks, including MVR and drug screenings.

• Review background check reports, Motor Vehicle Reports, and drug screening reports for a pass or fail determination.

• Coordinate drug tests for candidates and interface with managers as necessary for assistance in process completion.

• Interface with background check vendor for purposes of ordering or re-ordering background checks, MVRs, and drug tests and for providing additional information/documentation for individual candidates.

• Communicate with individual candidates for purposes of obtaining information as well as providing clarification and explanation of the background check process.

• Initiate post-accident drug tests for employees as requested by managers, and track progress from start to completion.

• Maintain spreadsheets to track the progress of pending/incomplete background checks, failed background checks/MVRs/drug tests, and when to issue Pre-Adverse Action and Adverse Action letters, as well as track missed drug tests.

• Attend weekly training meetings in Workday, as well as periodic training provided by the background check vendor.

• Attend weekly Regional Meetings as scheduled by Regional Managers.

• Create and conduct online training when needed for newly hired managers on background processes.

• Conduct audits of I-9 compliance.

• Files documents into appropriate employee files.

• Other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Prior experience with background checks is preferred.

Required Skills

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.

• Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with others.

• Ability to work efficiently in a high pace environment which includes deadlines.

• Thorough understanding of background check practices and procedures, with the ability to train others in related practices and procedures.

• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality

• Ability to work efficiently in a high pace environment with strict deadlines

• Strong communication skills

• Advanced computer systems skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google suite, and Adobe suite.

• Ability to learn and work with proprietary software

• Great organizational skills
