POSITION SUMMARY

IT Support Specialist primarily responsible for assisting staff with hardware and software issues. They provide on-site or remote technical assistance, including setting up of computer hardware system, installing and upgrading software, and troubleshooting basic IT issues. Their skills assist the company in resolving technical issues concerning staff accounts or company software infrastructure.

POSITION TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support development and implement of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
• Conduct annual compliance audits and improvement
• Lead continuous compliance programs and initiatives
• Perform analysis, diagnosis and resolution of complex hardware and software problems for end-users and recommend and implement corrective solutions.
• Travel to the staff’s location or connect via remote monitoring and management.
• Provide basic training with computer operation.
• Collaborate with Technological partners to ensure efficient operation of the company’s desktop computing environment.
• Order supplies as needed and with approval by corresponding department head.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or relevant field

Experience:

• 2 years of work experience as an IT support technician.
• Advance knowledge of computer hardware system, chipsets, memory modules and peripherals.
• Advance knowledge of operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems.
• Ability to think abstractly to solve complex hardware and software issues.

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
• Comp TIA+ certification, preferred
• PMP certification, preferred
• MCP certification, preferred

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

NA: position is not responsible for any direct employee oversite.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Office: primarily sedentary clerical position primarily located in a temperature-controlled environment.
