Senior Staff Accountant

SUMMARY

The Senior Staff Account will play a key role in the success of Ultima Health’s growing accounting function, with opportunities to impact from Day 1!

We're building a team of high potential people who have the desire to shape the systems and processes which they will lead.

Acceleration of career development will be encouraged, under the guidance of a progressive and experienced finance leadership team. Specific career development opportunities will include designing and documenting new processes and assisting the Controller and CFO with an ERP implementation.

This role will have the opportunity to work remote, reporting to the Controller who is based in the
Indianapolis area.

Bringing more than three years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in Consumer Packaged
Goods or Public Accounting, the candidate will be someone who consistently exceeds expectations and demonstrates high accountability.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Key areas of focus:

• Working Capital Management (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Debt)
• Banking and Board reporting (Covenant Management)
• Revenue Recognition (Gross to Net reporting, and period end cutoff)
• Accruals Management (Promotions and Allowance, Marketing)
• Assist the Controller with designing and implementing a new ERP system

Key responsibilities:

• Month-end close procedures, ensuring proper and timely recording of financial transactions
• Participation in process improvement initiative to support scale up strategies

• Preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reporting
• Guidance to staff accountant
• Support for financial statement and tax audits
• Perform other duties as assigned

THE PERSON

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• CPA preferred
• 3+ years of related experience required
• NetSuite experience preferred
• MS Office proficiency in World, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Demonstrates the ability to continuously improve processes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
